Definition
The Product Configurator is a tool using which you can define products without any programming effort.
The Product Configurator facilitates the definition of the business and technical features of a product, its version creation and the layout of the functions on the interface. In addition, it enables you to make simple enhancements with regard to the inclusion of attributes and offers general services such as change documents.
With the Product Configurator you can maintain all information on a product and have the different information (transaction types, media, field modification, assignment of conditions) uniformly displayed.
Use
The product reflects the activities of a current account. You need the Product Configurator to design the products. From the perspective of the current account system, the product is the result of the definition of fields, features and payment transaction operations. General processing characteristics are controlled by products, these processing characteristics being transferred to the assigned accounts.
You define a product and create accounts for this product. The products serve as a template and framework for accounts. A product can exist in several versions. An account is always linked to one version of the product. If you change a product, you decide if you wish to save the change in the existing version or in a new one. If you create a new version, the change only affects accounts created in the future, the existing ones are not affected.
