Authorized employees can use this iView to certify their actual working effort for the payroll period, after the payroll run has been performed.
To certify your actual working effort, you have to carry out the following process steps:
· Select Plan
You select the relevant payroll period and record. You then proceed to Certify Plan by choosing the Next Step pushbutton.
· Certify Actuals
Your planned data is displayed with the old cost distribution percentage and old effort percentage. You enter the actual data in the New cost distribution percentage and New effort percentage fields. If there is a difference between the actual cost distribution and the actual effort percentage values, you have to enter a variance code or reason for the difference. A retroactive payroll run is triggered if the old cost distribution percentage and the new cost distribution percentage are not same.
· Review Certification
You check the actual data entered. If the data is correct, you can proceed to Confirm Certification by choosing the Next Step pushbutton.
· Confirm Certification
The message The certification was successfully created is displayed. The workflow HRUSEFRA ‘Workflow to approve employee's actuals in Effort Certification’ is then triggered to notify the manager that their approval is required.
If your manager rejects or resets the entries you have made, a workflow is triggered to notify you that you have to enter your efforts again. If you subsequently make changes to your data, a retroactive payroll run is performed for any change in the cost distribution percentage after your manager has approved your record again.
Before you execute the Web application for Effort Reporting, you have to perform Customizing for Personnel Management by choosing Employee Self-Service ®Service-Specific Settings ® Working Time ® US-Specific Services ® Effort Reporting.
