Use

With this iView, employees can create, change, and display the information included on the W-4 form (Employee's Withholding Allowance Certificate).

Employees can access this service by one of the following paths:

· Employee Self-Service ® Benefits and Payment

· Employee Self-Service ® Personal Information

Range of Functions

Upon selecting this service, employees first see an overview of any and all of their current selections for state and federal W-4 forms. Each of these entries can be edited individually. The employee can change:

Filing status
Number of exemptions
Additional Withholding
Tax Exemption Indicator

In addition, the employee must select the Declaration option to activate any changes.

The employee is subsequently presented with a summary of the altered data to be saved and submitted to the HR department.

Prerequisites

You must have assigned ESS authorizations for your employees.

Optional Settings

The delivered default logic determines which states are relevant for the employee by scanning the employee’s existing address and tax area records (Infotypes 0006, 0207, 0208, and 0209). You can change (modify/replace) this default logic by using the Business Add-In (BAdI) HRXSS_PER_SUBTYPE.
