User Management 

Use

User management for Self-Service applications uses the mechanisms (for example, tools, user types, and password concept) provided by SAP Web Application Server. For an overview of how these mechanisms apply for Self-Service applications, see the sections below. In addition, there is a list of the standard users that are necessary for operating the self-services.

User and Role Maintenance (transaction PFCG)	You can use the Role Maintenance (PFCG) transaction to generate profiles for your self-service users.

User Types

SAP recommends you set up the connection between the portal and the connected systems (ECC system, J2EE Engine, BI system) so that each individual user has access.

Standard Users

Different standard users exist for the individual Self-Service components.
