Use

User management for Self-Service applications uses the mechanisms (for example, tools, user types, and password concept) provided by SAP Web Application Server. For an overview of how these mechanisms apply for Self-Service applications, see the sections below. In addition, there is a list of the standard users that are necessary for operating the self-services.

User and Role Maintenance (transaction PFCG)

You can use the Role Maintenance (PFCG) transaction to generate profiles for your self-service users.

Recommendation

SAP recommends you set up the connection between the portal and the connected systems (ECC system, J2EE Engine, BI system) so that each individual user has access.
