Military Service Infotype (0555) 

Definition

The Military Service infotype (0555) records the details of military service experience for each employee.

 

 

Use

Information contained in this infotype is used for personal data management for the period from the employee joining the company to leaving the company. And the information is not used by the SAP system for payroll run. 

 

 

Structure

In this infotype, you maintain the following information:

·        Rank

You select the specific military rank that applies to the employee, for example, the employee was a lieutenant in the army. It helps you to know an employee’s working performance and environment in his or her military service life.

·        ID number

This is the employee’s military service identification number that is issued by the civil defense authority.

·        Service type

You specify whether the employee ever worked in the army, navy or air force.

·        Retirement reason

You select for what reason the employee retired from military service, for example, early retirement due to an injury.

·        Job class and Primary skill

You select the employee’s job class and corresponding primary skill. You can define different job classifications and the corresponding primary skills in the Implementation Guide (IMG), under Payroll Korea  ® Personnel Management  ® Military Service  ® Define Military Job Classification and Primary Skill, for example, for the job class Administration, you define the primary skill Typing.

·        Unit

You enter the military unit in which the employee once served.

·        Reason for exemption from military service

Some employees did not perform the military service. You enter the possible reasons here.
