Definition

Employee tax information infotypes are a collection of tax-relevant information about an employee and his or her family/related person.

Use

Employee tax information infotypes are used by the payroll program to calculate the amount of tax the employee is required to pay in a given period. To ensure that the correct tax amount is deducted from an employee’s gross salary, you must maintain the following infotypes for each employee:

Structure

The Personal Tax Status infotype (0541) stores the employee’s personal tax status data.

The Family/Related Person infotype (0021) stores the family or related person’s data relevant to tax calculation.

The Personal Data infotype (0002) stores the employee’s registration number assigned by the authorities to be used in tax calculation.

The Year-end Adjustment Data infotype (0542) stores the employee’s deduction items and his or her previous employment data relevant to tax adjustment.
