Medical Expenses for DME
Infotype 0812
This infotype stores information about medical expenses for employees and their dependents.
· The DME for Medical Expense report (HKRCMED0) reads information in this infotype to generate the data medium exchange file for transferring information to external organizations.
· During the annual year-end adjustment (YEA) calculation, the system reads medical expense information from this infotype, and uses it for calculating special deductions.
· After YEA calculation, you run the following reports to generate the YEA legal forms:
¡ Income Exemption and Deduction of YEA Report report (HKRYEAD0) for generating the form HR_KR_YEAD##, where ## indicates the year of the YEA calculation.
¡ Payment Receipt of Withholding Income Tax report (HKRCYEA0) for generating the form HR_KR_YEAR##, where ## indicates the year of the YEA calculation.
You input the following information into this infotype:
· Name and business number of the medical organization where the employee incurred the medical expenses in a specified period
· Separate amounts and times of the medical expenses paid in cash and in credit card, respectively
You must specify the source of this information by selecting or deselecting NTS Data.

If you have medical expense information from both the National Tax Service (NTS) and other channels, create one record for each information channel.
· You have filled out the information in the Family Member/Dependents infotype (0021). You can add records for dependents by choosing Insert Expense Information.
· After you save information in this infotype, when you display or change the records in the Year End Adjustment Datainfotype (0542), the system calculates the sum of the medical expenses and updates the corresponding fields.
· Before you run the Payroll Driver report (HKRCALC0) for YEA payroll calculation, you must fill out this infotype.
