Purpose

For more information about the off-cycle payroll, see Off-Cycle Payroll.

Process Flow

  1. Enter the reason for the off-cycle payroll run. This determines how the payroll run is processed. The payroll system derives the payroll category from the off-cycle reason. The following payroll categories are possible:

- Bonus accounting

The system creates a record in the One Time Pay. Off-Cy. infotype (0267) for each wage type that you enter in bonus accounting. This infotype record contains information on:

The payroll identifier is a sequential number allocated by the system to differentiate between several bonus payments on the same day. The first bonus accounting run has the payroll identifier 0.

-Regular payroll run

If you start a regular payroll run in the off-cycle menu, the payroll control record is not taken into account.

-Correction accounting

You usually perform a correction run if master data has been changed and you need to run payroll before the next regular payroll run. When you start the correction run, the system runs retroactive accounting up to the date that has been set during master data maintenance.

  1. You enter the payment method. A record is created for the current payment in the Bank Details infotype (0009). This record contains the reason for the off-cycle run, payment date, payroll type and payroll identifier. The default setting is payment by check. You can split the payment and assign main and secondary bank details.
  1. If the payroll run is successful, the data is saved in the infotypes and the payroll result is written to the payroll cluster. The system simultaneously makes an entry in the indicator table, to show that a payroll result exists and further processing is required.
  1. The system starts report RPUOCP00 on a pre-defined date. The report is scheduled as a batch job when the system is set up. This report reads the indicator table and starts the appropriate process model with these results.
