Reorganization
The reorganization is an enhancement of the ARun Optimizer. It is the automated variant of the ARun Optimizer. With the reorganization you can plan the function of the ARun Optimizer as a background job. This way you can combine larger volumes of data and process them outside the business hours. For example, you can plan a job for the weekend in which different allocations of the previous week are to be selected and changed. The reorganization can also be used online. By starting a single program you can easily process complete allocation runs whose results should be changed.
You need the ARun Optimizer type for the reorganization as well.
The selection variants are determined differently in the reorganization than in the ARun Optimizer. The variant for the reorganization is already permanently assigned, whereas the variant for the ARun Optimizer has to be reselected for each run. You can use the variant that is entered as default value in the ARun Optimizer type.
Like in the Multiple Allocation Selection Set you also need a predefined selection variant for the background processing, so that the required selection parameters can be read by the System. As you must manually enter the selection parameters, when using the ARun Optimizer, a background processing would not be possible.
You must assign a selection variant as default value to the ARun Optimizer type, in which the required selection parameters are maintained. This ensures that the required allocation is automatically selected by the system.
We recommend that you create a separate ARun Optimizer type for each background processing of the program. You can do this by copying a user-defined reorganization type. You must then assign the selection variant as default value to the ARun Optimizer type, with the corresponding parameters.
