Authorization for Tasks Within the ARun
Optimizer
You can restrict user access to the ARun Optimizer by assigning authorizations. The system carries out an authorization check at the start of the transaction. If a user is not permitted to use a given function, the corresponding icon for that function is hidden. For example, if a user does not have the authority to release orders, the Release icon will be missing from the screen. You can prevent a customer service representative (CSR) from allocating or deallocating stock for another CSR’s orders. You can also give a user the authority for only one ARun Optimizer type.
You assign authorizations within standard SAP ERP system role maintenance. The following authority objects are available:
· J_3A_ARMTT
This enables you to choose which tasks a user will be able to perform within the ARun Optimizer and which ARun Optimizer types he or she can use.
· J_3A_CSA_S
This indicates a super user. The system does not carry out any CSA-related (Customer Service Area) authority checks for super users; they have access to all functions in the ARun Optimizer.
· J_3A_CSAST
This determines whether a user is allowed to consume unrestricted stock. If a user does not have this authority, the Stock Source field is hidden. That user will only be able to access CSR stock.
· S_TCODE
This determines whether a user is allowed to start a transaction (for example, the ARun Optimizer).
· S_TABU_DIS
This gives a user authorization for all Customizing settings (for example, maintaining authority roles).
Each CSR automatically has all the authorities needed for the CSA for which he or she is responsible. If you assign a substitute for a CSR but do not assign an authority role to that person, the substitute will have the same authorizations as the CSR.
The user can only display allocation groups and CSAs to which he or she is assigned either as a CSR or a substitute.
If the user has authority object J_3A_CSA_S, he or she is a super user and no authority roles are checked.
