Function documentation User-specific Settings Locate the document in its SAP Library structure

Use

User-specific settings are stored in the system for each user. They are used as default values if, for example, you want to regularly carry out the AFS MRP automatically in the background for one or several plants. Here the user is the MRP controller. AFS offers several options for defining user-specific settings for MRP.

Features

You can maintain user-specific settings for the AFS MRP from both the SAP standard application and the AFS application. If you maintain the user-specific settings from the SAP standard application, they will be automatically copied to the AFS application, if they are supported by AFS.

AFS supports the following parameters:

      Creation indicator for purchase requisitions

      Planning mode

      Scheduling of planned orders

      Plan all components

      Display MRP result

      Display material list

      Parallel Processing (see Single-Item Planning)

Note

The default values you control using the user-defined parameters are also used for the transaction-dependent MRP. However, if you specify the creation indicator for the purchase requisitions in the MRP group in SAP standard Customizing, this value will be considered for the transaction-dependent MRP (see MRP Indicator). For all the other MRP runs, you can manually change the creation indicator for purchase requisitions in the application.
