Use

ARun Optimizer is an online tool for viewing and managing post-ARun allocations. It enables you to quickly locate areas that are likely to fail release by displaying real time allocation release percentages and stock allocation details (for example, which quantities are reserved, fixed, on delivery or open) at different levels.

In combination with Allocation Against Future Receipts, The ARun Optimizer provides early visibility at the complete order level and so that you can quickly spot potential delivery problems and respond appropriately

Integration

Using the ARun Optimizer you can manually change or reset the results of the allocation run. This way you can react to a changed stock and requirements situation any time after the allocation run. You can change undesired allocation results. If you use the fill-up, for example, it might be necessary to use the ARun Optimizer. The MRP Status R must be changed with the aid of the ARun Optimizer so that a reserved quantity can be released for delivery in the further procedure.

You can use the ARun Optimizer in the online mode only. If you want to process large volumes of data, it is recommended that you use Background Processing with the aid of Reorganization.

With the ARun Optimizer, you can manually select and change individual assignments. If the results of a complete allocation run should be changed, it is recommended that you use Reorganization.

Prerequisites

You must maintain the IMG settings for the AFS Allocation Run.

Features

With the ARun Optimizer you can change allocation results. It is possible to change the MRP status of individual assignments. The changes only affect statuses that have been directly created by an allocation of the allocation run. That way a reserved item can be manually released for delivery at SKU level. On the other hand, released items can be reset to reserved status.

You can reset Individual allocation results manually, if necessary, due to a change in the stock or requirements situation of a material. The now unrestricted stock is again available for a new allocation to other sales orders.

You can redistribute allocated quantities within an allocation group. For example, an allocation group for a certain customer has 4000 store orders with reserved stock. Zero orders are releasable for delivery using an even spread of stock. However, after calling the customer and using FIFO redistribution, you can now deliver stock to 2000 stores.

You can start the ARun Optimizer in all modes of the allocation run in which an actual allocation occurs and the allocation result is saved (normal and preview mode). As no physical allocation of stock occurs during the allocation run in simulation mode, you cannot use the ARun Optimizer in simulation mode.

Using ARun types you control which parameters are used by the system to select the allocations and which data is displayed in the result screen. This way you can predefine different ARun Optimizer runs with individual settings for different processes and users and you can adjust them to meet the respective requirements.

Using dynamic selection you can determine the appearance and the content of the output screen of the individual ARun Optimizer types. Thus you control which fields are displayed from which table in the result screen of the ARun Optimizer. This makes it possible to display user-defined fields as well.

In the ARun Optimizer, orders, materials, and dimensions are flagged with a priority and a stock limit and/or special release percentage for special allocation. This enables pinpoint management of short or hot products for your high priority customers. Flagged orders have a much higher probability of allocation in an ARun timed to run after goods receipt(s) just for these orders, but this has no impact on physical inventory or ATP, MRP, and so on. ARun allocates flagged orders up to limits specified by the user.
