Function documentation Requirements Sorting in the Allocation Run Locate the document in its SAP Library structure

Use

The availability check processes requirements according to a strict FIFO principle. The time at which the availability check is called in the document is decisive (that is, the entry date during the order creation or the date on which a document is changed).

With the sort criteria for rescheduling you can influence to a certain degree the sequence in which the requirements records are transferred to the availability check (for example, by sorting the requirements according to requested delivery date).

The sorting of requirements during the allocation depends on your individual settings, however. Using special sorting rules, you can sort requirements so that the original sequence in which the orders were placed is overridden (for example, by sorting according to customer number, document category, and so on).

Please note the following before rescheduling:

Features

You can control the requirements sorting during the allocation according to various criteria / in combination with various criteria so that your individual needs are fully met.

In rescheduling you can only choose from the criteria entry date, entry time, delivery priority, and requested delivery date.

If you do not use any of the criteria for the requirements sorting in the allocation that are available to you for the requirements sorting in rescheduling, but stock is already available in the warehouse, you should execute the allocation before starting rescheduling. This way you can ensure that you at least distribute your warehouse stock among the available requirements as you intend to based on your ARun sort criteria. This stock / requirements assignment remains during rescheduling. The system confirms already allocated requirements for the requested delivery date.
