Pricing in Materials Management 
Use
With AFS pricing you can specify conditions at SKU level or combine grid values into price groups and determine conditions for them.
Features
AFS Condition Types
Choose one of the following condition types to determine prices at SKU level:
J3AP gross price at SKU level
J3AX manual entry of the gross price at SKU level
J3AD discount in percent at SKU level
The calculation schema
J3A00 and the schema group J1 are predefined in the AFS standard system. In order to be able to specify prices at SKU level, the schema group J1 must be entered in the Vendor Master Record.
Prices at SKU level
Creating condition records
You do not determine prices at grid value level, category level, or SKU level directly, but rather in condition records, which you process as follows:
- Choose Logistics ®

Master Data ®
Conditions ®
Other.
- Enter the condition type J3AP and choose Enter.
- Choose a key combination for the material info record at grid value level, category level, or price group level and confirm your selection.
- Using the input help, enter the corresponding grid values and categories in the table columns Grid value and Stock Category and determine the prices. You also have the option of copying all the grid or category values that exist for a material to the table. To do this choose

- Defining price groups
In the AFS system you can combine grid values that are procured at the same price into a price group. This allows you to, for example, assign the same procurement price to pieces of clothing with the same size, regardless of their color.

- Using the grid control data, specify which grid values of a purchase grid should belong to which price group. Choose Logistics ®

Create. Choose the grid condition type PGRD (Purchasing Grid), choose Enter, and select a key combination. Enter the material and the purchase grid in the table mode and choose
Control data. By clicking the push button Mode..., a selection screen appears. Choose AFS Size group for Pricing and then assign the price groups to the corresponding grid values.
- Specify a specific price for each price group. Choose Logistics ®

Create. Enter the condition type J3AP and choose Enter. Choose the key combination Material Info Record with Size-group and then enter the corresponding price groups and prices in the table.
Prices at SKU level in Contracts
You do not specify prices at SKU level directly in the contract, but rather in condition records which you process as follows:
- Choose Logistics ®
Materials Management ®
Purchasing ®
Master Data ®
Conditions ®
Other.
- Enter the condition type
J3AP and choose Enter.
Select the key combination Contract schedule line and confirm your selection.
Using the input help, enter the corresponding grid values and specify the prices. You also have the option of copying all the grid values that exist for a material to the table. To do this choose

Prices at SKU level in Purchasing Documents
You can manually enter prices at SKU level in all relevant purchasing documents. If you have specified prices in condition records in the purchasing info record, they will be copied to the purchase order as default values. Proceed as follows in order to manually enter prices in purchasing documents:
- Enter the purchase order quantities at SKU level, select an item, and choose
.
- Choose
, enter the condition type
J3AX, and choose Enter.
Select the corresponding grid value, copy it, and enter a price in the table.
Before you leave the condition maintenance, choose
Refresh prices, so that the system calculates an average price for the material from the SKU prices.
