Creating a Purchase Grid and Grid Control Data

Use

In the AFS system you can create purchase grids and their grid control data together. Choose Logistics ® AFS Central Functions ® Grids ® Grid Control Data ® Purchasing Grid ® Create. First you create the purchase grid and then you can define the grid control data.

Creating a Purchase Grid

Choose the grid condition type PGRD (purchase grid) and confirm by clicking Enter.

Note

In the initial screen you can choose Condition info to see a display of already existing condition records and grids for various key combinations.

Select a key combination for which the purchase grid and the grid control data are to be valid (for example, Purchasing Organization – Vendor – Material).

Enter the required values, enter a material, and in the table field Mat.grid no. enter a description for the purchase grid and choose Grid.
The grid values of the master grid will be displayed.

Select the grid values that are to be valid for your key combination and save your selection. The purchase grid will be created under the description you have assigned.

Note

You can also create purchase grids by doing the following: Logistics ® AFS Central Functions ® Grids ® Material Grid ® Create. Choose the material grid type P (purchase grid), enter the master grid number in the field Ref.mat.grid no, and select the corresponding grid values. You define the grid control data for this purchase grid in the second step.

Creating Grid Control Data

After creating the purchase grid, choose

Control Data.

To enter the control data for individual grid values, choose Mode... and select the respective areas for which you want to specify control data (for example, Vendor Material Number, rounding factor, Price Group). Then enter the corresponding values and save your entries.

From the table mode you have access to various information and navigation options:

If you have created control data for a purchase grid, you will see a displayed in column CD in the table mode.
You can go directly from the overview to the processing mode of the purchase grid and control data. To do this, select an item and choose Condition.

You can get information on the validity period of the corresponding purchase grid via Validity.
For status information, choose .

Note

You can process grid control data in the AFS Basic data view of the material master as well.
