Purpose
When creating the delivery, the shipping activities such as picking or the posting of goods issues are initiated. The delivery creation can be carried out individually or in collective processing. The AFS data has been integrated in the SAP R/3 Standard functions of shipping. The picking of an AFS material is therefore carried out at SKU level, for example.
The picking of AFS materials can be executed in three different ways:
One or several pick orders are generated for the picking of every delivery (with picking-relevant items).
You can use the SAP Warehouse Management (WM) function. Here the picking is also mapped via the WM transfer order, based on which you can maintain picking-relevant information.
You can use some of the functions of Warehouse Management. Here, the WM transfer order is also used for picking.
