Exception Messages for AFS Materials

Features

During the AFS planning run, both SAP standard exception messages as well as AFS exception messages can be generated and displayed (see Description of the Exception Messages).

The exception messages have numbers and are assigned to exception groups. The exception messages of the SAP standard have numbers smaller than 100 and you can assign them to the exception groups in SAP standard Customizing.

The AFS exception messages have numbers greater than 100. They have already been assigned to the following exception groups in the release:

Group 1: New, Opening date in the past
Group 2: New, start date in the past
Group 3: New, end date in the past
Group 4: General messages and messages for discontinuation
Group 5: Exceptions during BOM explosion
Group 6: Exceptions during availability check
Group 7: Exceptions during rescheduling
Group 8: Terminations

Note

You can assign the exception messages that have been created in AFS to the exception groups (table J_3A458).

Caution

You are not allowed to delete the entries that are already in the table because this could lead to inconsistencies.

Note

In the SAP standard, AFS exception messages are displayed with a placeholder (*). If an AFS exception message and a standard exception message have been written for the corresponding AFS material, the system creates a placeholder (*) for them as well. In all other cases you will see the number of the respective exception message.

The entry (*) must be defined in SAP standard Customizing.
