Creating Accounting Data for Valuation Types
Use
After you have defined valuation types in the AFS valuation view for the partial quantities of your split valuated AFS material, specify prices for the individual valuation types and create your own accounting views in the material master.
Specifying Prices for Valuation Types
Choose Accounting ®
Controlling ®
Product Cost Controlling ®
AFS Split Material Valuation ®
Maintain Prices for Valuation Types or choose Environment ®
Maintain Valuation Type Prices in the initial screen of the material master.
Enter the material, plant, and the posting data and confirm your entries with Enter.
Select a valid price control for all the valuation types of a material (standard price or moving average price).
Enter a valuation price and if necessary a future valuation price for each of the valuation types you have defined.
Save your entries.
By saving the price data a separate accounting view is created in the material master record for each valuation type.

Manually Generating Accounting Views for Valuation Types
You have to generate initial accounting views for materials whose valuation type prices are not entered manually but are calculated by the costing run.
- Choose Accounting ®
Controlling ®
Product Cost Controlling ®
AFS Product Costing ®
Generate Accounting Views.
- Enter the materials, the plants and the price control. For generating accounting views, the mass processing offers you additional selection criteria for the database selection such as the material number, material type, or season. You can display the accounting views for the valuation types using a test run so you can make an analysis.
- When you execute this function the system automatically generates accounting views at valuation type level by copying the accounting view at material level.

You can use the described function for a legacy data transfer. For example, if you want to transfer valid prices of materials with quantity structures that have been calculated in the legacy system, but in which the prices are calculated by the SAP system during a costing run.
