Picking without Warehouse Management

Picking is the withdrawal of the goods from a storage location and their provisioning in the correct quantity and quality in a picking area, where the goods are prepared for shipping. There is an AFS-specific tab page with which you can pick at SKU level. Corresponding to the structure of the AFS material master, picking is not carried out at the main item, but at SKU level.

Note

Partial picking
If a delivery is only partially picked, the part of the purchase order or order that is not picked gets MRP status F (fixed) if the automatic deallocation for delivery changes field is not flagged in the settings for the delivery type. If the field is flagged, the non-picked part is assigned MRP status T (temporarily assigned).

AFS restrictions
Automatic batch determination is not supported for picking.

Picking with Warehouse Management

Picking with warehouse management lets you use the transfer order as the pick order. With AFS materials this is possible for the following scenarios:

Goods Issue

A goods issue is a goods movement to post internal material consumption, material issues, and deliveries of goods to customers. Goods issues reduce the warehouse stock. Goods issues for a delivery can be posted individually or by collective processing. Instead of processing each transport requirement or delivery separately, you can select the documents from a collective processing list and create the related transfer orders in one single transaction.

Note

AFS restrictions
The cancellation of goods issues is not supported for AFS materials.
