Function documentationAdditive Costs for Split Valuated Materials Locate the document in its SAP Library structure

Use

With the R/3 Standard function ‚additive costs‘ you can consider cost components in the product costing with quantity structure that can not be derived from the BOM and the routing data of the material to be costed.

You can also use this function to create a costing (cost component split) for raw materials that contain further cost components (for example freight costs), besides the raw material price. You can rollup the raw material cost component split plus the additive costs to the costings of the superior products.

Features

You have to manually create additive costs in form of a table per material. For each table entry you can enter the resource consumption. At the product costing of this material or of a superior material the system considers the manually created additive cost components. For this you need corresponding Customizing settings in the used costing variant and valuation variant (Consider additive costs).

Example

The standard price of a raw material is 10. Additionally an additive costing with freight costs of 2 and duty costs of 3 are created for this raw material.

When costing this material or a superior material, the system determines costs of 15 for one piece of this raw material. The cost portions 10, 2 and 3 can belong to different cost components and are then rolled up separately to the costings of superior materials.

For split valuated (costed) AFS materials, you can also create additive costs. You have the following possibilities:

Please note that the second variant is a copy. That means that the system does not automatically effect changes of the additive costing at material level to the additive costings at valuation type level. For this a new replication report must be started again.
