Deletion of Shipments (Report)
You can delete shipments from the database using the Delete Shipments
(/SCA/SHIPMENT_DELETE
) report. This allows you to keep the database free from shipments that are no longer needed.
You have system administrator authorization for the SAP Supply Network Collaboration (SAP SNC) system.
You have activated the business function Supply Network Collaboration 1 (SCM_SNC_GEN_1
).
On the report entry screen, you specify which shipments you want the report to delete. As selection criteria, you can enter business partners, numbers of shipments and advanced shipping notifications (ASNs), and delivery dates, for example. To determine the delivery date of the shipments to be deleted, you have the following options:
If you only enter a delivery date, the report deletes shipments whose delivery date is on or before the specified delivery date. If the delivery date is left empty, the system uses today’s date.
If, in addition to the delivery date, you enter an offset time in days, the report calculates an earlier delivery date by subtracting the offset time from the specified delivery date. The report deletes shipments whose delivery date is on or before the calculated delivery date.
You can also run the report in a simulation mode. In the simulation mode, a data update is simulated, but the update is not saved to the database. The system confirms in a log whether shipments can be deleted.
The report can only delete shipments with the statuses Closed
, Canceled
, Draft
, or Goods Receipt Complete
. Shipments with Published
or Partial
Goods Receipt
statuses, which are still being processed, cannot be deleted. The report can also delete all advanced shipping notifications (ASNs) that were assigned to the shipment.
Caution
Once deleted, shipments cannot be restored.
With the report, you only delete shipments locally in SAP SNC. SAP SNC does not send a message with information about deleted shipments to the back-end system of the customer or of the supplier. These shipments must be deleted separately in the back-end systems.
To run the report online, on the SAP Easy Access
screen, choose .
