Creating Replenishment Orders The supplier can use SAP Supply Network Collaboration (SAP SNC) to create replenishment orders, which it can then send to the customer and supplier back-end systems. The customer back-end system uses the replenishment order to create a purchase order, and the supplier back-end system creates a sales order. The supplier can create replenishment orders in the following ways:
Manually in the Due List for Planned Receipts screen (SMI scenario)
Manually on the
Create Replenishment Order
screen
Automatically using the TLB service (
Responsive Replenishment
scenario) or special planning services for creating replenishment orders.
These services create replenishment orders from planned receipts.
The supplier can create replenishment orders according to TLB logic. For this, the following planning services are available:
TLB_SERVICE
This service uses planned receipts to create TLB shipments that include one or several replenishment orders. The service does not publish the replenishment orders. The supplier must publish the replenishment orders on the TLB screen. The supplier can run this service from the
Responsive Replenishment Monitor
, the
Min/Max Replenishment Monitor
, and the TLB UI by choosing
Execute TLB
.
Note
You cannot publish a replenishment order that is assigned to a TLB shipment on the
Replenishment Order Details
screen or on the
Replenishment Order Overview
screen. This is controlled by the validation check RO_NO_TLB_PUBLICATION.
TLBPD_SERVICE
This service creates TLB shipments
and
automatically publishes the replenishment orders assigned to the TLB shipments. The supplier can run this service from the
Responsive Replenishment Monitor
and the
Min/Max Replenishment Monitor
by choosing
Execute and Publish TLB.
When SAP SNC creates replenishment orders from a TLB run, each replenishment order item contains one schedule line.
The supplier can create replenishment orders from planned receipts using one of the following planning services:
REPL_FRPROP_SERVICE
This planning service creates replenishment orders from time-series-based planned receipts and planned replenishment orders but does not publish the replenishment orders. The supplier must manually publish them in the Web screens for replenishment orders. You can run this service from the
Responsive Replenishment Monitor
and the
Min/Max Replenishment Monitor
by choosing
Propose Firm Receipts.
REPL_FRPROPPB_SERVICE
This planning service creates replenishment orders from time-series-based planned receipts and planned replenishment orders. It also publishes the replenishment orders. You can run this service from the
Responsive Replenishment Monitor
and the
Min/Max Replenishment Monitor
by choosing
Propose and Publish Firm Receipts
.
The supplier can manually create, save, and publish replenishment orders using the
Create Replenishment Order
screen. If you manually create a replenishment order but do not publish it, you can assign it to a TLB shipment at a later time. You cannot use this screen to publish replenishment orders that have been assigned to a TLB shipment.
In the
Responsive Replenishment
and
SMI with Replenishment Orders
scenarios, the supplier creates replenishment orders in SAP SNC and sends these to the customer and supplier back-end systems. The customer back-end system creates a purchase order based on the replenishment order; the supplier back-end system creates a sales order based on this replenishment order.
However in the case of unplanned demands, the customer can create a purchase order (“rush purchase order”) in his or her back-end system and send it to the supplier back-end system. The supplier system then creates a sales order for this purchase order. If the supplier wants SAP SNC to consider this sales order, he or she can send it to SAP SNC using an XML message of type
ReplenishmentOrderConfirmation
.
You can configure SAP SNC to create a new replenishment order from this sales order, by activating the validation check RO_CREATE_VIA_REPLORDCONF. SAP SNC can then consider this replenishment order in replenishment planning.
Note
This validation check is not active in the standard delivery.
The customer can report received product quantities using
ProductActivityNotifications
. If the on-order quantity is greater than the total open quantity of the replenishment orders, SAP SNC creates a replenishment order for the difference in quantity. For more information, see
Determination of the Open Quantity and Status of an RO Item
.
On the replenishment order screens, SAP SNC assigns the following types of order number to the replenishment order when saving it:
The replenishment order number is relevant in SAP SNC.
The purchase order number is used for the purchase order in the customer back-end system.
Note
The purchase order number can also be assigned in the customer back-end system. For more information see Publication of Replenishment Orders .
The sales order number is used for the sales order in the supplier back-end system.
On the TLB screen, SAP SNC assigns the replenishment order number when saving the replenishment order, but only assigns the purchase order number and sales order number when publishing the replenishment order.
