Determination of Sales and Distribution Patterns from Promotion Messages for Multiple Promotions
In a DemandInfluencingEventNotification
XML message (promotion message), the customer can send promotion data (location products, promotion quantities, and time buckets) for multiple promotions to SAP Supply Network Collaboration (SAP SNC). To create multiple
promotions, SAP SNC must determine a promotion ID and a sales and distribution pattern for each of the promotions. If the customer sends promotion data that contains time series with daily time buckets, the following methods for determining the sales and distribution pattern are available:
In the standard system, SAP SNC uses the promotion quantities from the daily time buckets to automatically determine a sales and distribution pattern for each of the promotions.
Alternatively, you can use the sales and distribution pattern that you have maintained in the promotion profile. To use the sales and distribution pattern that you have maintained in the promotion profile, SAP SNC can automatically aggregate the quantities of the daily time buckets in the promotion message to calculate a total promotion quantity. Once SAP SNC has determined the total promotion quantity for the promotion, it can use the sales and distribution pattern from the promotion profile.
