Closing ASNs in System Administration

You can use the Close ASNs (/SCA/DLV_CLOSE) report in the SAP SNC system to set the status Closed for advanced shipping notifications (ASNs) with the following header statuses:

Published
Partial goods receipt

For each ASN, the report first closes the ASN items with the status Published or Partial Goods Receipt. If the report is able to close all items from an ASN, it also sets the Closed status for the ASN header. The report also closes all old versions of the ASN.

Caution Caution

With the report, you only close ASNs locally in SAP SNC. SAP SNC does not send a message to the back-end system of the customer or of the supplier.

Selection of ASNs to Be Deleted

In the report settings, you specify which ASNs you want the report to close. You can choose the ASNs to be closed according to product, customer location, status, and delivery date. To determine the delivery date of the ASNs to be closed, you have the following options:

If you only enter a delivery date, the report closes ASNs whose delivery date is before or on the specified delivery date.
If, in addition to the delivery date, you enter an offset time in days, the report calculates an earlier delivery date by subtracting the offset time from the specified delivery date. The report closes ASNs whose delivery date is before or on the calculated delivery date.

Simulation

You can perform the report in simulation mode. If you choose this option, the report lists the ASNs that correspond to the selection criteria but does not close them.
