Defining Selection Conditions for the DS Planning Board You invoke the detailed scheduling planning board via a selection screen on which you specify the selection criteria for the objects (resources, products, and orders) that are to be displayed on the board.
The objects for the detailed scheduling planning board are determined from the following data:
On the selection screen, enter an overall profile with which all the necessary profiles for the planning board are determined. You can invoke the profiles via
Profiles
.
The time period is determined via the time profile adopted from the overall profile. For the current session, you can also directly specify a different time profile or change the dates of start/end of display or start/end of planning. However, you cannot change the changes for the time profile.
You define the time profile in Customizing under
You create the work area in Customizing for Detailed Scheduling. There you specify in sets which resources, products and/or orders are to be selected for the work area.
You can specify the work area in the overall profile. It is then adopted from the overall profile and displayed on the initial screen of the detailed scheduling planning board. If you have not specified a work area in the overall profile, specify the work area or the necessary sets of products, resources, or orders directly on the selection screen.
If you do not make any changes on the initial screen, the objects for the detailed scheduling planning board are determined from the sets of the work area.
However, you also have the option of changing the settings from the work area.
You can temporarily change the data from the work area for the current invocation on the initial screen (e.g. change sets or add new sets).
You can save the changes
and overwrite the existing work area
Note
If you change an existing work area and then save, the system performs a namespace check. This is because you are not allowed to change standard SAP work areas.
or create a new work area by assigning a new name to the work area.
You can completeley delete the entry for the work area and the entries for the sets using the
Empty Work Area
function.
You can then specify new selection conditions for the products, resources, or orders, and thus temporarily start the detailed scheduling planning board.
You can save the data for the selection conditions in a new work area. To do so, choose
Save Work Area Under…
You have several options for restricting selection on the tab pages.
You can specify that only bottleneck resources or finitely planned resources are to be selected.
You can specify for resources, products, and/or orders that only the objects specified on relevant tab pages are to be selected and not others that are selected via environment analysis.
Note
If you select resources and products, for example, and set the
Selected
Resources
indicator for resources, the system selects only those resources that you have specified on the
Resource
tab page and not those that are additionally determined via the product.
You can filter the selection of the operations and specify via the
Filter for Operations
indicator that only those operations that were selected via the resources selected via the set are to be displayed on the planning board.
If you do not set the indicator, for an operation chart, all operations on the transferred resources are transferred to the DS planning board.
For more information on environment analysis, see Selection of the Objects to be Displayed .
From the
SAP Easy Access mySAP Supply Chain Management
screen, choose
.
The selection screen for the DS planning table appears.
Make the necessary settings and check the
Profiles
.
Enter the work area.
The sets, created in Customizing for the work area are adopted and displayed.
If you want to change a set, enter the new selection criteria that are to apply to the set on the corresponding tab page.
If you wish to add a new set, choose
Create New Set
and enter the selection criteria for the new set.
To delete a set, choose
Delete Current Set.
Choose
Empty Work Area
to delete all data on the sets.
If you want to save changes, choose
Save Work Area Under…
.
A dialog box appears, in which you have to specify a work area, a user-specific work area ID, and a language-dependent description for the work area.
If you do not save the changes, they apply only temporarily for the current invocation of the DS planning board.
If several sets have been created for a work area, you can scroll between the individual sets using the arrow buttons at the bottom of the tab page.
If sets exist for objects, the system selects the tab page with a checkmark (tick)
.
Choose
Execute
to invoke the DS planning board.
You also have the possibility to extend the selection in the application, for example, by selecting further products or resources. To do so, choose
Extend Selection….
.
The selection criteria you specified on the initial screen are extended by the additional data.
When you create a simulation version, all the sets that exist at the time of saving are used (see
Process Simulation Version
).
Note
The
Extend Selection…
function is not available for orders.
