A deactivated setup activity for an operation does not lead to a change in the setup status at the affected resource. That is to say, the first activity that follows the setup activity changes the setup status.

A deactivated setup activity belongs to the planning horizon if all activities except the deactivated setup activity lie within the planning horizon.

The function Do Not Take Rate of Capacity Utilization for Sequence-Dependent Setup Activities Into Account is also valid for deactivated sequence-dependent setup activities.

A deactivated setup activity loads the bucket capacity of a resource with the average duration specified in the mode.

If a deactivated setup activity is deallocated, the system adopts the average duration from the mode in order to schedule the deallocated setup activity.

A deactivated sequence-dependent setup activity is scheduled exactly in the same way as a non-deactivated one. You can therefore also schedule these activities infinitely in the past for example.
