Assignment of Products to BOD
Through the function for assigning products to the BOD, you specify the products to which and the validity period for which a bill of distribution (BOD) is to apply.
To allow for the assignment of large volumes of location product to the BOD, if there are missing location products in the BOD, the system adds them to the application log and then continues processing the rest of the location products. In this way, you have an overview of the missing location products from the application log, but they do not stop the assignment process.
To be able to have the system skip missing location products when assigning products to a bill of distribution in Service Parts Planning (SPP), you must activate the SCM-APO-SPP, Service Parts Planning 1
(SCM_APO_SPP_GEN_1
) business

You have created a BOD.
Product assignments
Adoption of product assignments
You can also adopt existing product assignments in a new BOD that is to be valid for a future period. The validity periods of the product assignments must not overlap.
Display
You can display the products assigned to a BOD.
You can display the BODs that are assigned to a product currently and in the future.
If you wish to assign products to a BOD, on the SAP Easy Access
screen, choose .
If you wish to specify that a product is to be assigned to another BOD as of a certain validity period, choose Adopt Product Assignment in New BOD
in the same menu path.
If you want to find out which products of a BOD are assigned for a certain validity period, choose Display Products Assigned to BOD
in the same menu path.
If you want to find out which BODs are assigned to a product for which validity period, choose BODs Assigned to Product
