 Calculation of Cell Values

Use

In interactive Demand Planning, there are different ways to calculate and display the cell values in the planning table.

Features

Determine Column Totals

For this, use the functions in the menu under Start of the navigation path Settings Next navigation step Row Totals. End of the navigation path These functions refer to columns in the planning table. The system displays the total of the corresponding cell values in a separate totals column. You can display the totals of the following columns:

  • All columns or selected columns

  • Columns with historical values

  • Columns with future values

When you have selected one of these functions, the totals column remains visible. If you no longer need the totals column, you can hide it.

Perform Calculations Using Values of Individual Cells

You can determine the following results for the values of individual cells:

  • Total of the values in the selected cells

  • Mean value, minimum value, or maximum value of the selected cells

  • Number of filled cells

  • Result of a user-defined calculation

You can implement the user-defined calculation using a Business Add-In (BAdI). For more information, see the Implementation Guide (IMG) for Advanced Planning and Optimizationunder Start of the navigation path Supply Chain Planning Next navigation step Demand Planning (DP) Next navigation step Business Add-Ins (BAdIs) Next navigation step Interactive Planning Next navigation step Perform User-Defined Calculation. End of the navigation path

Hold down the CTRL key while selecting the individual cells. Then choose Calculate in the context menu and then the relevant function. The system then displays the result in the bottom left of the screen in the interactive planning status row.
