Service loss analysis determines the final forecast for the first stockholding location from time series data management. It does so for each sales order schedule line for which a service loss has occurred and for which this service loss reason is checked. For more information about the final forecast, see Forecast Approval .
The system checks whether the forecast values have exceeded the values that you defined in the Customizing forecast settings.
If the final forecast exceeds these values, the system compares the demand of the final forecast with the demand of the sales order schedule line. If the demand of the sales order schedule line exceeds the final forecast by the percentage that you defined in Customizing, the total service loss quantity of the sales order schedule line is assigned to these service loss reason.
