  No Analyst Review

Use

This service loss reason defines that a DRP planner did not check a scheduling agreement or purchase order schedule line that must be approved manually on time.

The quantity that can be assigned to this service loss reason is restricted to the quantity of the unchecked schedule lines in the limited freeze horizon.

Recommendation Recommendation

If you have specified in Distribution Requirements Planning (DRP) that scheduling agreement schedule lines and purchase order schedule lines are automatically approved (that is, not by a planner), this service loss reason cannot occur. We recommend that you do not activate the service loss reason in this instance.

End of the recommendation.

Prerequisites

  • In Customizing for SAP Supply Chain Management (SAP SCM), you have selected the approval statuses that service loss analysis should check.

For more information, see the Implementation Guide (IMG) for SAP SCM under Start of the navigation path Advanced Planning and Optimization Next navigation step Supply Chain Planning Next navigation step Service Parts Planning (SPP) Next navigation step Monitoring Next navigation step Service Loss Analysis Next navigation step Make Settings for Service Loss Reason “No Analyst Review” End of the navigation path .

  • You have scheduled the PSM service SPP_DRP_APPRVL_ANALYS_UTREV so that all unchecked scheduling agreement and purchase order schedule lines in the limited freeze horizon are saved with the approval status Manual Approval before each DRP run. In this way, you ensure that schedule lines, which were not checked before the previous DRP planning run, are saved. For more information, see PSM Services for Distribution Requirements Planning (DRP) .

    Note Note

This planning service saves the scheduling agreement schedule lines and purchase order schedule lines, but does not approve them.

    End of the note.

Features

If an analyst does not review a scheduling agreement or purchase order schedule line (which must be approved manually) on time, it cannot be automatically approved at the time of the new DRP and DRP approval planning run. Since these unchecked schedule lines in the limited freeze horizon cannot be sent to the supplier, they cause service loss.

Activities

Service loss analysis calculates the following:

  • All unchecked schedule lines for the customer-requested product at the entry location (and at the location at the second level of the BOD if deployment is active to the second level).

  • The DRP planner who is responsible for planning the customer-requested product at the entry location (and at the second-level location is necessary).
