 Fixed Receipt

Use

This service loss reason defines that the purchase order and release quantities planned by distribution requirements planning (DRP) were reduced by fixed receipts. A reduction of the DRP plan leads to a lower purchase order quantity.

The quantity that can be assigned to this service loss reason is limited to the quantity of the fixed receipts created during the runtime that are in the meantime invalid.

Features

A DRP planner can create fixed receipts on the Fixed Demands and Fixed Receipts screen. Since fixed receipts reduce the demand, they can cause a service loss in the future, provided that the service loss is in the throughput time. For more information, see Fixed Demands and Receipts .

Activities

Service loss analysis determines all fixed receipts that were created during the throughput time from the first stockholding location to the main supplier (calculates backwards from the service loss date/time.)

Example

The following table shows the attributes of a fixed receipt that the DRP planner has created.

General use

DRPLN1

A sales order with the following data is created in SAP Customer Relationship Management (SAP CRM):

  • Goods issue date/time: November 23, 2005, 12 PM

  • Customer-requested quantity: 70 pieces

Since the whole customer-requested quantity of 70 pieces could not be delivered on time, the service fill monitor rates this quantity as a service loss quantity.

The throughput time from the first stockholding location to the main supplier is 14 days. The start time of the throughput time for the customer-requested schedule line is thus at 12 pm on November 4, 2005 (goods issue date/time minus 14 work days).

Since the fixed receipt was valid during the throughput time and the end date/time of the fixed receipt has expired, the whole fixed receipt quantity of 40 pieces can be assigned to the service loss quantity. The remaining 30 pieces of the service loss quantity are either assigned other service loss reasons or to the service loss reason No Service Loss reason.
