 Delay Periods

Use

Delay periods enable you to group goods issue postings of schedule lines that were delivered later than the evaluation date/time. You select this in the Time of Evaluation field in Customizing for the service fill monitor in the IMG activity Make Global Settings for the Service Fill Monitor. Delay periods are differentiated by the number of days by which the actual goods issue date/time is allowed to be later that the planned goods issue date/time for the schedule line still to be rated as a service fill.

For each delay period, the service fill monitor calculates the goods issue quantities per customer-requested schedule line that could be delivered completely on time. You can use this data to perform evaluations in SAP NetWeaver usage type Business Intelligence (BI system), which show you the service level per delay period.

Prerequisites

If you want to use the delay periods delivered by default, you have defined these delay periods in Customizing for SAP Supply Chain Management (SAP SCM).

For more information, see the Implementation Guide (IMG) for SAP SCM under Start of the navigation path Advanced Planning and Optimization Next navigation step Supply Chain Planning Next navigation step Service Parts Planning (SPP) Next navigation step Monitoring Next navigation step Service Fill Monitor Next navigation step Define Delay Period End of the navigation path .

Features

The following delay periods are delivered by default:

  • Delay period T0

In T0, all schedule lines with on-time goods issue postings are rated as service fill.

  • Delay period T1

In T1, all schedule lines with on-time good issue postings and goods issue postings that were late up to a certain number of days are rated as service fill. The number of days depends on your Customizing settings for T1.

  • Delay period T2

In T2, all schedule lines with on-time good issue postings and goods issue postings that were late up to a certain number of days are rated as service fill. The number of days depends on your Customizing settings for T2.

Activities

The service fill monitor assigns the goods issue quantities to all delay periods, that is, to at least delay periods T0, T1, and T2. The service fill monitor classes all customer-requested schedule lines that were executed on time in all delay periods as service fill. The service fill monitor classes all customer-requested schedule lines that could not be executed on time in at least delay period T0 as service loss.

Note Note

The more delay periods you define, the more database memory the system uses for each sales order. Therefore, ensure that you have enough database memory available. The system files the data for the delay periods in the database table /SCMB/SPLRSFDFR. You can determine the used memory based on this database table.

End of the note.
