Differentiation of Initial Values and 0 Values In interactive Demand Planning (DP), the system can differentiate key figures that contain the value 0 and key figures that have not yet been planned and are therefore initial. The system can differentiate time series key figures in the liveCache.

Characteristics-Based Forecasting (CBF) does not support this function.
In planning area maintenance, you can set the
Zero Allowed
indicator for each key figure of the planning area, so that the system distinguishes between the initial value and the 0 value. In this case, the initial values are displayed as empty rows in the planning table. Initial value means that the system has not changed this value, either directly or indirectly, by making a change at aggregated level or at detail level.
Value changes, during disaggregation for example, can lead at all planning levels to the system overwriting initial values. The following figure illustrates how increasing the value at aggregated level affects the cells at detail level if a cell value is initial.

The system increases the original values in the corresponding cells at detail level and overwrites the initial value with the value 0.
If you are working with fixing and also want to fix the value 0, additionally set the
Zero Fixable
indicator for the corresponding key figure. You are working with
propagation of fixing information
.
In the following figure, as in the previous figure, the value at aggregated level is increased. In this case, however, the value is subsequently fixed.

At detail level, the system increases the corresponding values, replaces the initial value with the value 0, and fixes all values.
If you fix the initial value at aggregated level for a key figure with the
Zero Fixable
indicator and are working with propagation of fixing information, the system overwrites the values at aggregated level as well as at detail level with the value zero. The system fixes the values at all levels.
