Definition

A location determination procedure is a grouping of interchangeability groups for location substitution purposes. This group type is similar to the PSP in the product interchangeability.

Location Determination Alternative Procedure (LDAP)

This is a specific variant of a location determination procedure.

Compared to a normal location determination procedure, the alternative procedure allows the multiple use of a location in the assigned interchangeability group.

Use

You use this group type for storing information on the substitution of locations to support the integration with rules-based ATP.

Structure

The location determination procedure belongs to a rule in rules-based ATP.

The header data of every location determination procedure contains an additional indicator Alternative Procedure. You use this indicator to if you want to create a location determination alternative procedure.

You can only assign location substitution chains to a location determination alternative procedure.

You can only use this function if you have set the Relevant for Alternative Procedure indicator in the header of the assigned location substitution chains.

The item data consists of interchangeability groups (subgroups) of type location substitution chain and/or location list .

For more information about header and item data, see Interchangeability Group Types .

Integration

The location determination procedure is supported by rules-based ATP.
