Graphics in Interactive Planning and Forecasting There are three graphics available in interactive planning and forecasting. Different functions are available in each graphic.
You can display and edit the data for your selection as a graphic. You can either display it instead of the table or as well as the table.
For more details see Functions of the Graphic in Interactive Demand Planning .
In the forecast view you can display the graphic by choosing
Show/hide table
. On this graphic you can display all parameters that are available in the grid, the key figures and the forecast parameters Basic value, Trend, and Season. You select these parameters by choosing
On the dialog box that appears you can also define the scale of the x- and y-axes. Here you also make the settings for smoothing of manual changes. For details, refer to the F1 help. The graphic settings are user-specific and are valid for a planning area.
Note
You can also change the settings for the graphic using the basis functions available from the context menu. However not all of the settings are saved when you leave the graphic.
You can convert any curve in the graphic to a straight line or fit it to a self-defined equation using the Business Add-In /SAPAPO/SDP_FCSTCURV. If you select a curve and then choose
Convert Selected Curve
, the system converts it a straight line (or the equation in the BAdI) and displays it as a separate line. It does this for the whole period as defined in the graphic settings. If you select
Convert Selected Curv
e again, you can copy this line into the selected key figure, overwriting for instance the forecast results or any manual changes. To do so, choose
Save Values
.
If a key figure can be changed, you can change it in this view by using the drag&drop function.
If you are using manual forecasting, you can work graphically. To do so, you must have selected
Manual Forecast
as the forecasting method in the forecast profile or on the
Model
tab page of the forecast view. After executing the forecast you can go to the graphic view by choosing
Graph
.. A graph appears with the forecast parameters, trend and seasonal index as well as a trend curve. This trend curve represents the forecast curve without seasonal effects. You can change the forecast parameters, basic value and trend index, by clicking on either end of the trend curve and moving the point up or down. The system automatically corrects the basic value and trend index. You cannot change the seasonal index in the graphic.
You can specify the period to be display on the lower
Trend Curve
section of the graphic settings dialog box which you access as above by choosing
If you select
Manual Horizon
, this must include the whole of the forecast horizon but can contain only part of the historical horizon.
