Locking an Order Proposal
You can exclude order proposals from automatic subsequent processing (for example, mass release, transfer to the purchasing system) and manual processing (for example, deleting of order proposals, splitting of order proposals). This way, it is possible for a replenishment planner to proceed with manual processing of an order proposal on the following day.
Example
If contract negotiations have not been concluded with a vendor, you can exclude order proposals from subsequent processing.
You can set the following lock types:
Approval
prevents the release of order proposals
Transfer
prevents the transfer of order proposals to the purchasing systems
Deletion
prevents the deletion of order proposals
Change
prevents the following changes to order proposals:
Changes to order proposal header data and order proposal items (for example, setting the order proposal status, for example, release)
Creation of new order items
Deletion of order proposals and order proposal items
Grouping Order Proposals
Splitting order proposals
Transferring order proposals
Checking release conditions
You can reset locks in order to delete, release, change, or transfer order proposals.
Note
You can only apply this function to order proposals that you have generated in SAP F&R and not yet transferred.
Changing the order proposal status (for example, when you release the order proposal manually) does not cause the lock type to be changed and vice versa.
An order proposal can only contain one lock type. If the lock type is changed, the system overwrites the existing lock with the new one.
Grouping locked order proposals
If the Change
lock type is set for one or more of the selected order proposals, you cannot group the selection.
Example
The lock type Release
is set for order proposal 2911. If you now set lock type Transfer
for the order proposal, the order proposal will contain only the lock type Transfer
.
To lock an order proposal, select it in the navigation tree of the worklist, click the symbol with quick info Lock Order Proposal via Lock Type
, select the lock type, and click the symbol with quick info Lock
. The system displays the lock as a symbol in the Lock Info
column. You can also unlock the order proposal.
You can set the different lock types in Customizing under .
