You use the CIF postprocessing alert (program /SAPAPO/CIF_POSTPROC_ALERT) to check whether postprocessing records were generated during CIF error handling. You also use it to specify that the initiator of an error or the system administrator should receive a message when errors occur. This makes it easier to monitor the change transfer for transaction data.
CIF error handling must be active.
The relevant communication interface must be configured for the selected recipient type.
Call program /SAPAPO/CIF_POSTPROC_ALERT in the SAP APO menu by choosing
, or by calling transaction /SAPAPO/CPPA.Enter the SAP R/3 target system for which CIF error handling is active.
You can restrict the postprocessing records for which a message is to be issued by selection criteria and status.
You specify whether the initiator of an error or the system administrator should be notified and whether only one message should be issued. Generally, it is best to send just one message to the system administrator.
Execute the program.
The program checks whether postprocessing records were generated that meet the selection criteria.
Note
As standard, the
Message Only for New PP Recs
indicator is set. In this case, the program only checks whether new postprocessing records have been generated that meet the selection criteria since the last run.
If postprocessing records are found, the system sends a message (SAP Office Mail) to the initiator of the error or to the system administrator. You also receive a message if no postprocessing records are found.
Recommendation
You can start the CIF postprocessing alert in dialog mode and in the background. We recommend you schedule this program as a regular background job.
