Use

The following tables explain the various different granularities for e-mail and SMS messages and the resulting structure of the messages:

Message Structure

One message per notification

The user receives a separate message for each work item

  • Work item description

  • Explanatory text

  • Links or attachments for executing work item functions

One message per category

User receives just one message for all work items of a category

General text that tells the user that they have one or more notifications for a particular category. The message does not contain any information about the individual work items.

One message contains multiple notifications

User receives a collective message that contains all notifications.

For each work item:

  • Work item description

  • Explanatory text

  • Links for executing work item functions
