Mass Deletion of Events
You use this report to delete mass occurrences of one or more event types. In other words, if multiple events of the same event type exist, you can use this report to delete them. The system does not allow you to delete event types on the SAP Easy Access
screen,
under if the event type is used in events. You use this report
to delete the uses of the event type.
To use this function, you must activate the business function SCM-APO-FCS, Events and Outliers, Causals, ABC/XYZ Classification
(SCM_APO_FORECASTING_1
). For more information, see SCM-APO-FCS,
Events and Outliers, Causals, ABC/XYZ Classification.
After you have run this report, and the system has deleted all occurrences of an event type, you can delete the event type in the Demand Planning Worklist
if the event type is not used in configuration (Customizing settings, forecast settings for planning areas).
If the event type is still used in configuration (for example, you have configured future event estimation for the event type), the system does not allow you to delete the event type in the Demand Planning Worklist
. In this case, you must run the Delete Event
Types with Dependencies
report to remove the event type from configurations.
The report deletes all occurrences of a particular event type for the selection criteria you specify.
You specify a selection for which you want to delete the events. You can either use an existing, predefined selection, or create a new one by choosing the Edit Selection
pushbutton.
If you specify a selection, the system deletes events for all planning objects on the level on which the events were created (the planning level that was specified for the planning area for outlier detection and event generation purpose). For example, if you select a zone, the system deletes all of the events which belong to the planning objects of that zone.
You can select event type ranges for deletion.
Note
If you want to delete an event type and all events that belong to that event type, do not specify a selection, and a time horizon. In such a case, specify only the event type in the Event Type
field.
If you select the Trigger Forecast
checkbox, the system runs forecasting after it has deleted the events and event type. The system uses the forecast profile that is assigned to the characteristic value combination (CVC) that was processed. The system performs
forecasting only for the planning objects that have a deleted event.

screen, choose .
Note
We recommend that you run this report in batch processing mode, since event deletion can take a long time if the system contains many events.
