Function documentationKit Creation Using a VAS Order

You can use a VAS order to plan and document the kit-to-stock process in the EWM system (see Kit to Stock).

You can use all options provided by the VAS order:

  • Documentation about the kit creation effort

  • Documentation about the processing progress

  • Integrating VAS processing into the delivery

You can document and trace kit creation and the progress of kit creation in the system.

You can find the document number of the VAS order in the form of a document flow entry for all items of the inbound delivery and outbound delivery order.

For more information about the structure of a VAS order, see VAS Order.

Prerequisites

You have created a VAS order. To do this, on the SAP Easy Access screen choose Start of the navigation path Work Scheduling Next navigation step VAS Order Next navigation step VAS for Kit to Stock End of the navigation path.

Features

To create kits that you want to transfer to the stock, you can use all basic functions of the VAS order. For more information, see Create and Edit VAS Orders.

The following options are also possible:

  • View of outbound delivery with kit components

  • View of inbound delivery with kit

  • View of bills of material in the ERP system

  • Goods issue posting for packed and unpacked components

  • Goods receipt posting for packed and unpacked kits

In addition, you can post goods receipt of the kit and goods issue of the kit components independently of each other. You can post goods issue before, with or after goods receipt. You can configure the system so that goods issue posting of the kit components is automatically performed at the same time as goods receipt posting for the kit. To do this, select the Retroactive Posting checkbox in the warehouse-independent data of the product master. You can configure the retroactive posting for individual or for all components of a kit, or make them dependent on the VAS order type.
