5.8 Single Top LevelLocate this document in the navigation structure

Use

Usually two levels of navigation entries are placed at the top of the shell. The folders are on the first level and directly below are the entries for the second level of navigation for the selected folder. If a folder is defined as Single Top Level , only the root folder is displayed at the top. The second-level navigation entries are moved to the side of the shell. This option is available, because for some types of roles it is better to place the complete navigation on the navigation panel and not use a second level top navigation.

The concept described above is illustrated in the following figure:

Single Top Level

To define the Single Top Level option, on the Menu tab page in transaction Role Maintenance ( PFCG) select the relevant folder and choose Other Node Details . Then select the Single Top Level checkbox.

Note

The Single Top Level checkbox is displayed only on the root folder level.
