Special Fair Share Rules
If the system cannot completely cover prioritized fixed demands or open customer demand during fair share deployment, it uses special fair-share rules.
If the system cannot completely cover prioritized fixed demands, it firstly sorts them according to their priority. The system sorts prioritized fixed demands with equal priority according to their start dates. According to the determined sequence, it covers the prioritized fixed demands until the available quantity is used up, and rounds the demands to shipment quantities.
If the system cannot completely cover open customer demands, it sorts them according to your settings in Customizing for Advanced Planning and Optimization
under .
If you set the ODLs for Fair Share of Open Cust. Demand
(Order Due Lists for Fair Share of Open Customer Demand) indicator, the system firstly sorts the open customer demands according to order due lists (ODLs) (see Order
Due Lists) If order due lists do not exist for some open customer demands, the system sorts these open customer demands according to SPP prioritization for customer demand. If no entries exist here either, the system sorts the open customer demands according to due date.
Note
You define the SPP prioritization for customer demand in Customizing for Advanced Planning and Optimization
under .
If you also set the SPP Prio. before ODL Prio.
indicator (SPP Prioritization Before ODL Prioritization) (back-logged sales orders: SPP prioritization before AFL Prioritization), the system sorts the open customer demand according to the SPP prioritization for
customer demand first, and then sorts the rest of the open customer demand according to order due lists.
In addition to the priority, the material availability date of the open customer demand is used as second sort criteria. When the system has sorted the open customer demands, it covers them in this order until the available quantity is used up, and rounds the demands to shipment quantities.
