Function documentationDRP Approval Rules

There are several approval rules available in DRP approval. If one of these approval rules is violated, the system generates an alert and you must manually approve the purchase requisition proposed by Distribution Requirements Planning (DRP) or the scheduling agreement release proposed by DRP.

Features

We deliver the approval rules listed below, as standard. If you use the default Customizing for these approval rules, the system checks the specified approval rules at each of the following stages:

  • During DRP mass approval

  • After manual changes

  • When creating a scheduling agreement release

DRP Approval Rules in DRP Mass Approval
  • ANNON

DRP created an anonymous purchase requisition for which neither a scheduling agreement or a purchasing contract exist. In this case, the system creates the alert 7879.

  • BADI

You can define this approval rule yourself in the Business Add-In (BAdI) BAdI: Define DRP Approval Rules (/SAPAPO/SPP_DRPAPPROVAL_RULE). For more information, see the Implementation Guide (IMG) for Advanced Planning and Optimization by choosing Start of the navigation path Supply Chain Planning Next navigation step Service Parts Planning (SPP) Next navigation step Business Add-Ins (BAdIs) for Service Parts Planning (SPP) Next navigation step BAdIs for Distribution Requirements Planning (DRP) Next navigation step BAdI: Define DRP Approval Rules End of the navigation path.

  • BUYTPYE

A reason for ordering is assigned to the purchase requisition planned by DRP or the scheduling agreement schedule line planned by DRP. This reason for ordering is marked for manual review. In this case, the system creates the alert 7834.

You can define reasons for ordering and mark them for manual review in Customizing by choosing Reasons for Ordering. For more information, see the Implementation Guide (IMG) for Advanced Planning and Optimization by choosing Start of the navigation path Supply Chain Planning Next navigation step Service Parts Planning (SPP) Next navigation step Distribution Requirements Planning (DRP) Next navigation step Define Reasons for Ordering End of the navigation path.
