DRP Approval Rules
There are several approval rules available in DRP approval. If one of these approval rules is violated, the system generates an alert and you must manually approve the purchase requisition proposed by Distribution Requirements Planning (DRP) or the scheduling agreement release proposed by DRP.
We deliver the approval rules listed below, as standard. If you use the default Customizing for these approval rules, the system checks the specified approval rules at each of the following stages:
During DRP mass approval
After manual changes
When creating a scheduling agreement release
ANNON
DRP created an anonymous purchase requisition for which neither a scheduling agreement or a purchasing contract exist. In this case, the system creates the alert 7879.
BADI
You can define this approval rule yourself in the Business Add-In (BAdI) BAdI: Define DRP Approval Rules
(/SAPAPO/SPP_DRPAPPROVAL_RULE). For more information, see the Implementation Guide (IMG) for Advanced Planning

BUYTPYE
A reason for ordering is assigned to the purchase requisition planned by DRP or the scheduling agreement schedule line planned by DRP. This reason for ordering is marked for manual review. In this case, the system creates the alert 7834.
You can define reasons for ordering and mark them for manual review in Customizing by choosing Reasons for Ordering

COMMFREEZE
DRP planned a purchase requisition or scheduling agreement schedule line for a location product that has a sales restriction. In this case, the system creates the alert 7832.
In the location product master data, on the SPP DRP
tab page, you can specify that there is a sales restriction for a location product.
OBSFIRM
DRP planned a purchase requisition or scheduling agreement schedule line for a product for which the outline agreement or scheduling agreement expires before the end of the freeze horizon. In this case, the system creates the alert 7838.
FAMILYBUY
DRP planned a purchase requisition or scheduling agreement schedule line for a location product that is part of product group procurement. In this case, the system creates the alert 7833.
DEEXP
DRP planned a purchase requisition or a scheduling agreement schedule line for a product that has been deferred to outside of the limited freeze horizon and for which you have entered a date in the location product master data in each of the fields Strt
Rev.: Shift LFH
and End Rev.: Shift LFH
. In this case, the system creates the alert 7828.
FIRM
DRP planned a purchase requisition or a scheduling agreement schedule line for a product that has been changed in the limited freeze horizon and for which you have entered a date in the location product master data in each of the fields Start
Rev.: Change LFH
and End Rev.: Change LFH
. In this case, the system creates the alert 7829.
INV_INACC
DRP planned a purchase requisition or a scheduling agreement schedule line for a location product, for which you have set the Stock Inaccuracy
indicator in the location product master data. In this case, the system creates
the alert 7830.
KIT
DRP has planned a purchase requisition or scheduling agreement schedule line for a location product that you have specified as part of a kit. The system then checks your entry in the location product master data on the SPP DRP
tab
page in the Approval/Releasing
area. If you have specified here that you want to use the value at product level, the system checks the product master data on the Properties of SPP
tab page to determine whether the product is part of a kit.
If the location product or product is part of a kit, the system generates alert 7825.
LEADTIME
DRP planned a purchase requisition or scheduling agreement schedule line for a location product whose total deployment lead time exceeds the maximum allowable total deployment lead time. In this case, the system creates the alert 7840.
You can specify the maximum allowable total procurement lead time in the service profile for DRP approval in the Limit Value: Max. Proc. Lead Time (Days)

MANUAL
DRP has planned a purchase requisition or a scheduling agreement schedule line that is captured by the filter for a manual review that you defined on the Filter for Manual Review
screen. In this case, the system creates the
alert 7824.
To get to the Filter for Manual Review
screen, on the SAP Easy Access
screen, choose .
DELTAVALUE
DRP has changed a purchase requisition or a scheduling agreement schedule line. Because of this change, the purchase requisition or scheduling agreement release exceeds the maximum change value for the schedule line. In this case, the system creates the alert 7836.
You can define the maximum allowable change value for a schedule line in a profile in the Maximum Values for Rules
screen. You can then assign this profile to a location product in the location product master data on the SPP DRP
tab
page in the Profile ID MaxVals
field. To access the Maximum Values for Rules
screen, on the SAP Easy Access
screen, choose .
MAX_DEM_FR
DRP planned a purchase requisition or scheduling agreement release for a location product whose maximum allowed demand frequency has been exceeded. In this case, the system creates the alert 7837.
You can define the maximum allowable demand frequency per month on the Maximum Values for Rules
screen. You can then assign this profile to a location product in the location product master data on the SPP DRP
tab page in the Profile
ID MaxVals
field.
MAXTOTVAL
DRP has changed a scheduling agreement schedule line, whereby the total quantity of the scheduling agreement exceeds the maximum allowed value. In this case, the system creates the alert 7886.
On the Maximum Values for Rules
screen, you have defined the maximum allowed total quantity of the scheduling agreement in a profile for management approval in the Maximum Total Value of a Scheduling Agreement
field. You have specified
this profile in the location product master data in Profile ID MaxVals
field.
To access the Maximum Values for Rules
screen, on the SAP Easy Access
screen, choose .
MAX_VALUE
DRP has changed a scheduling agreement schedule line, whereby this scheduling agreement schedule line exceeds the maximum allowed value. In this case, the system creates the alert 7835.
On the Maximum Values for Rules
screen, you have defined the maximum allowed schedule line value in a profile for management approval in the Maximum Sched. Agr. Schedule Line Value
field. You have specified this profile in the location
product master data in Profile ID MaxVals
field.
NEWPART
DRP has planned a purchase requisition or scheduling agreement schedule line for a location product that you have identified as a new product. The system then checks whether you have identified the product as a new product in the product master data on
the Properties of SPP
tab page. In this case, the system generates alert 7827.
NEWPARTDUE
DRP has planned a purchase requisition or scheduling agreement schedule line for a product with an availability date that is before the date on which complete production begins. To determine this, the system checks your entry for the production start
date in the location product master data on the SPP Inv. Balancing/Surplus
tab page. If you have not specified a production start date here, the system checks your entry for the production start date in the product master data on the Properties of SPP
tab
page. If the availability date lies before the production start date, the system generates alert 7841.
PEDN_OBS
DRP planned a purchase requisition or scheduling agreement schedule line for a product whose discontinuation period has already begun. In this case, the system generates alert 7831.
The discontinuation period of a product begins after the production end date that you can specify in the product master data on the Properties of SPP
tab page.
RECALL
DRP planned a purchase requisition or scheduling agreement schedule line for a product that has been recalled. In this case, the system generates alert 7826.
You can define the recall period for a product in the product master data on the Properties of SPP
tab page.
SUSHUTDOWN
DRP has planned a purchase requisition or scheduling agreement schedule line for a product that is due during a supplier shutdown. In this case, the system generates alert 7891.
You can define profiles for supplier shutdowns in the master data for service parts planning. You can then assign these profiles either to the transportation lane from the supplier to the entry location in the product-specific transportation lane master data or to the entry location in the location product master data. If you specify a profile ID for a supplier shutdown in both the transportation lane master data and the location product master data, the system only takes into account the profile ID in the transportation lane master data.
EOADOH
You have manually changed a purchase requisition or a scheduling agreement schedule line that contains a product whose stock days' supply is so short that the shortage analysis is set as critical or potentially critical. In this case, the system generates alert 7860.
You can display the maximum allowed value for the days' supply in the shortage monitor. For more information about how the system determines the days' supply, see Calculating Days' Supply and Open Quantities.
EOALINERED
After you have manually changed a purchase requisition or scheduling agreement schedule line, the quantity of the purchase requisition or scheduling agreement schedule line exceeds the maximum allowed value. In this case, the system generates alert 7858.
You have defined the maximum allowed quantity deviation (in percent) of a purchase requisition or scheduling agreement schedule line, on the Define Management Approval
screen in the Allowed Quantity Reduction
field of a management
approval profile. You have specified this profile in the location product master data in the Profile ID MaxVals
field.
EOATOTLQTY
After you have manually changed a scheduling agreement schedule line, the quantity in the whole scheduling agreement exceeds the maximum allowed value. In this case, the system generates alert 7854.
On the Define Management Approval
screen, you have defined the maximum allowed value for the quantity of the whole scheduling agreement, in the Upper Limit for Total Quantity of SA
field of a management approval profile. You have
specified this profile in the location product master data in Profile ID MaxVals
field.
EOATOTLVAL
After you have manually changed a scheduling agreement schedule line, the value of the whole scheduling agreement exceeds the maximum allowed value. In this case, the system generates alert 7859.
On the Define Management Approval
screen, you have defined the maximum allowed value for the whole scheduling agreement, in the Upper Limit for Total Value of SA
field of a management approval profile. You have specified this profile
in the location product master data in Profile ID MaxVals
field.
EOALINEVAL
After you have manually changed a purchase requisition or scheduling agreement schedule line, the value of the purchase requisition or scheduling agreement schedule line exceeds the maximum allowed value. In this case, the system generates alert 7857.
On the Define Management Approval
screen, you have defined the maximum allowed value for a purchase requisition or scheduling agreement schedule line in the Upper Limit for Schedule Line Value
field of a management approval profile.
You have specified this profile in the location product master data in Profile ID MaxVals
field.
GOODWILL
The product that you have released or ordered is currently part of a goodwill action. In this case, the system generates alert 7863. This alert is also visible to your suppliers; the supplier must generate a supplier confirmation in response to the alert.
NEWMODEL
The product that you have released or ordered belongs to a new model. In this case, the system generates the alert 7864. This alert is also visible to your suppliers; the supplier must generate a supplier confirmation in response to the alert.
REACALL
The product that you have released or ordered is currently being recalled. In this case, the system generates alert 7861. This alert is also visible to your suppliers; the supplier must generate a supplier confirmation in response to the alert.
SPECIALCST
You have set the Special Distribution
indicator on the SPP
tab page in the location master data for the ship-to location of the location product that you release or order. In this case,
the system generates alert 7865. This alert is also visible to your suppliers; the supplier must generate a supplier confirmation in response to the alert.
WARRANTY
The product that you release or order currently has a warranty. In this case, the system generates alert 7862. This alert is also visible to your suppliers; the supplier must generate a supplier confirmation in response to the alert.
You can deactivate the approval rules described above. For each approval rule that you want to deactivate, include an entry in Customizing under Define DRP Approval Rules
that does not have the Active
indicator set, in
order to overwrite the standard settings.
