System Definition (Web Service)

Definition

The System Definition (Web Service) is used to define web services to be used in the modeling process. Web services that you define will be accessible only to users logging on to Visual Composer using your user name and password.

Use

You display the System Definition (Web Service) dialog box by choosing Start of the navigation path Tools Next navigation step Define Web service system End of the navigation path . You then enter all the information relating to the new web service system.

Structure

The System Definition (Web Service) dialog box includes the following fields and controls:

Control	Description
New system name	Unique name of the web service system
New system alias	Alias that will be used in the portal to identify the web service system
Web service URL	Web service's URL address
URL requires User and Password checkbox	Defines that the web service requires user authentication
User	The user name
Password	The password assigned to the user
Create button	Creates an alias for the defined Web service
