 Viewing Alerts in the Web Browser

Prerequisites

Before your partners can view alerts in the Web browser, you must complete the following steps:

  • Prepare to install the CLP Internet component.

  • Make sure that the services for the Alert Monitor (AMON and AMON_STATIST) are available on the relevant SAP Internet Transaction Server (ITS).

Procedure

  1. Access the APO Alert Monitor logging on with the partner's user.

  2. Create a user profile for the partner, and assign the relevant SDP Alert Monitor profile to the user.

  3. Add the partner's user profile to the list of favorites.

    This is necessary for the partner to be able to call their profile up on the Internet.

  4. Follow this procedure for every partner who should view alerts in the Web.

  5. Inform the partner of the URL that is required to start the services for the Alert Monitor.

    The URL comprises the following:

    • ITS Standalone

      • URL for the ITS

        You can find this in the SCM system in the ABAP Workbench (transaction SE80), under Settings on the Internet Transaction Server tab page .

      • Name of the service, that is /AMON/! or /AMON_STATIST/!

        Examples:

        http://<yourITS>:<yourPort>/scripts/wgate/amon/!

        http://<yourITS>:<yourPort>/scripts/wgate/amon_statist/!

    • Integrated ITS

      The URL for calling an ITS service in the integrated ITS comprises the following:

      • Log

      • Name of the host that you want to address

      • Port through which you are sending the request to the server

      • Path for accessing the ITS service (sap/bc/gui/sap/its)

      • Name of the service, that is /AMON? or /AMON_STATIST?

        Examples:

        http://<yourHost>:<yourPort>/sap/bc/gui/sap/its/amon?

        http://<yourHost>:<yourPort>/sap/bc/gui/sap/its/amon_statist?

Results

To view alerts in the Web, your partner(s) log on and enter the URL for the Alert Monitor service. The user profiles you added to the list of favorites are visible in the profile selection box in the initial screen. Clicking on an entry opens the Alert Monitor.
