Determining Quantities to be Deployed to Locations of the VLCO on Level
Two of the BOD
If there is a virtual location for consolidated ordering (VLCO) on level two of the Bill of Distribution (BOD), Deployment uses two steps to determine the quantities to be deployed to the locations that are consolidated.
The system treats the VLCO like any other location. It determines the quantity which would be deployed to the VLCO.
The system determines the actual quantities that are deployed to the individual locations of the VLCO. This is done by using the quantity for the VLCO determined in the first step as available quantity at the parent location. The locations that are consolidated under the VLCO are not treated as consolidated locations but as child locations of the parent VLCO.
To be able to execute the second step, Deployment has to consider the stock transfer requisitions which would be rolled up to the parent location by the consolidated child locations, if the child locations were not consolidated.
