Configuring Web Dynpro Components

Creating a Component Configuration

1. In transaction SE80 open the context menu of your Web Dynpro component, and choose Create/Change Configuration. The configuration editor opens in the browser.

2. Specify a unique configuration ID, for example, MY_COMP_CONF, and choose New. You can now navigate in panel Web Dynpro Built-In in the UI element tree and edit the configuration settings there. Further panels may be available if a component-defined adaptation has been created for this component. The settings you can make here depend on which functions the developer has provided for this adaptation.

Edit Configuration

• Select the required configuration in the explorer and choose Start Configurator in the toolbar.

Delete Configuration

To delete a configuration, you have two options:

• You select the configuration in the Web Dynpro explorer, open the context menu, and choose Delete.

• You start the configurator, select the configuration you want, and choose Delete.
