The Create Planned Independent Requirement inbound operation creates a new Planned Independent Requirement
You use the
Create Planned Independent Requirement
operation to create a PIR according to the following input values:
Product (ProductInternalID element)
Supply planning area (SupplyPlanningAreaID element)
Planning version (ModelPlanningVersionID element)
Available-to-promise (ATP) category (MaterialSupplyAndDemandType element)
PIR items, including planned quantities and the frequency of the planned consumption
When the PIR is created, the operation returns a message with the following basic data:
Product
Supply planning area
Planning version
ATP category
If the system is unable to create the PIR, the operation returns a message log containing the input data and any relevant error messages.

The requested supply planning area and product must exist in the back-end system. Change authorization for the supply planning area and the product must exist for the user.
