
Visual Administrator provides you with general information about services, managers, libraries and interfaces. You can also use the tool to add, delete and configure properties, logging features and so on.
Visual Administrator Utilities

Tools → Export |
Exports the server configuration from the database. You can specify what kind of information is exported - global data or particular dispatcher/server data. The configuration is stored as an archive file under the /admin folder. |

Shuts down a selected cluster element. The icon is visible if a cluster element is selected. |

Starts a service on a particular element. The icon is visible if a service is selected. Note
Some of the services might have special requirements to be started. For more information, see the documentation section, corresponding to the particular service. |

Stops a service on a particular element. The icon is visible if a service is selected. Caution
Be careful when stopping services. A hard reference connection may exist between different services. When you stop one, all services that are referenced will also be stopped. |

Reboots a cluster element. The icon is visible if a cluster element is selected. Make sure that you are familiar with the J2EE Engine architecture and that you are aware of the consequences of rebooting a Java dispatcher or server process. |
